So someone mentioned elsewhere that Felice was a secret Remillard all along, which makes a kind of ... horrid sense.
Presumably, a surviving Mental Man embryo was rescued and put into cold storage and forgotten about for years, I guess. Then it's dusted off and given to a couple who never tell her she wasn't their biological child.
She has an unhappy upbringing, which is a bad idea when you're a Remillard (with the inherited streak of nastiness x 2) and have all these powerful, latent powers in the first place. Maybe that's why her embryo was rejected as being only a 'normal' and her latent powers were overlooked or never spotted in the first place (there were so many embryos in the first place, brr). So perhaps she was intended to be disposed of, but someone intervened.
Looks - she has platinum blond hair (from Denis and maybe his powers too?) and dark eyes eyes inherited from Don Remillard, her nasty great-great-grandfather. Also, an appetite for mass destruction when she's angry (sound familiar?).
A clue that she was Marc's daughter all along was hiding in plain sight - she was remembered as Artemis, and Marc as Zeus. Artemis was the daughter of Zeus. In nearly killing Marc she was the unknowing equivalent of Frankenstein trying to kill its creator (Frankenstein is referred to in the series). She never had kids and so there was no second generation of Mental Man, who would have been Paramount Grand Masters.
In trying to tamper with human evolution, Marc paid the price in the end more than he realised.
This also means that poor Elizabeth was drawn into trying to help dysfunctional Remillards and their family drama earlier than she realised. Ouch.
